   Our Learning Math:  In math this week we finished up our big Valentine's math review booklet! In this booklet we practiced skills that we haven't learned all throughout the year, including representing numbers to 100, counting by 5's and 10's and adding numbers up to 20. We also celebrated the 100th Day of School! It was so exciting to realize how much we have learned in these first 100 day's of school. To celebrate we did a scavenger hunt with Ms. Vanderwel's class in the library. We had to answer many types of math problems that all had something to do with the number 100. Writing:  We are SO excited to have started to write our very own first story every! As a class we read The Three Billy Goats Gruff and now we are twisting this fairy to rewrite it in our own unique way.    Our Learning Math:  In math this week, we started to learn about the friends of 10! These are all the different ways that we can add two numbers to make 10! Some examples are: 10+0=10 5+5=10 9+1=10 3+7=10 8+2=10 Writing:  This week in writing we worked together as a class to rewrite the story The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Our Story is called The Three Little Penguins! We are so excited to start writing our own stories this month!! Science:  This week in science we checked on the plants/vegetables that we planted last week! So many of them has already started to grow!!! We are so excited! We also finished colouring our booklets about how to plant a seed. Social Studies: In social studies this week we learned about Chinese New Year. We also learned about what life was like hundreds of years ago when it was only the indigenous people living here where Calgary now is. We learned that they lived in houses called tipis, and they hunted animals like buffalo for their...
