Our learning Sept 5th-8th

What Did we Learn This Week in Room 8

Math: This week in math we have been reviewing our numbers and numerals to 10. We are working hard on learning how to legibly write the numerals.

Literacy: In writing this week we have been working on our all about me booklets. We are practicing our coping skills and building up our stamina to work on bigger, longer projects.

We are starting to review our letters on the alphabet and their related sounds. So far we have reviewed the letters Ss, Aa, and Tt. We are practicing hearing these sounds at the beginning, and ends of words and listening for how we can blend them together into words.

Social Studies: This week in social studies we have been talking about what it means to belong to a group/community and what responsibilities we have as community members. We learned that the most important job we have in any group we are a part of is to be respectful. We learned different ways we can show respect including looking at someone to show that you are listening to them, using kind words, helping/sharing, and doing our jobs.
